COVID-19 Update: A Message from The Brownsville Community Foundation
Dear Friend,
As we remain monitoring developments relating to COVID-19, we hope that our community will all stay healthy and safe.
This situation is certainly not static and will continue to impact our communities in ways yet developed. Yet, we rest in the knowledge that we have incredible people like you in the world who are compassionate, resilient, and who consistently give back. We hope that you will continue to depend on The Brownsville Community Foundation as a resource in any way that we can be and that you will continue to be generous to the organizations that mean the most to you, as the charitable sector will need it.
In line with CDC recommendations, we are suspending work on our initiative The Big Give Brownsville through May 31, 2020 and then until further notice so that our nonprofits do not feel the need to go out into the public for that reason.
Melanie Davis-Jones from the Center for Disaster Philanthropy wrote a blog article outlining ways you can help local nonprofits during this trying time.
Thank you for your continued support for our community.
Sincerely,
The Board of Directors of The Brownsville Community Foundation
